Developing Basic Digital Skills

As becoming a teacher someday and teaching the ICT for developing the learners, they must be clear in the basic knowledge about values needed by the digital learners. To develop of what they have to learn. We had a basic literacy inside our classroom; the reading, writing and arithmetic. Then how to equip the learners to success?

First is the solution fluency, these refer to the capacity and creativity of the learners to solve the problem.

 Information fluency, at this fluency you have the ability to access, retrieved, to reflect on and assess then rewrite for the instructive information packages.

 Collaboration fluency, it is the teamwork for doing online social partnership that possible in the networking.

 Media fluency, it is the equipment’s usually needed for an analytical mind to evaluate the message and a creative way of publishing a message through digital.

 Creativity fluency, it is the artistic way use to design and other elements that using a digital.

Digital ethics, it is the digital citizens guided by principles of leadership, global responsibility, environmental awareness, global citizenship, and personal accountability.

At this time of digital has expose I must knowledgeable enough and equip to help me in teaching the students in the future. At my grade school and secondary in school, we don’t have any digital equipment to view what the world is. What the true essence of the subjects teaches in my time. Some examples were seen in the page of book. We can barely see some images because it was so old. At this time students are looking forward the new technology to have and help them through their activities.

Being a teacher in these digital learners we accept the fact that we must adapt and equip to develop learners in their studying. But we must teach them to be a good student in this modern world of technology. They must know how to go with the flow and be the one of them. Not only to assess them but to help them how to face the world of technology.
